Killdeer Mountain is green, and little yellow flowers are blooming. Found a tick. Discovered a morel mushroom, too--the first I've seen on the Mountain.

Two cormorants flew overhead. I've never seen cormorants up there before.

I love cormorants--they are so prehistoric looking. Is there water on that mountain? I'm jealous of a green mountain. The wildflowers are blooming here, but the mountains are still snowcapped. Sounds like it's nice to be home.

When I finally got back to my mountain after that long, involuntary absence, the wildflowers and most of the critters were gone. It was scary. But so far they're all on time this year....
